PRESERVATION IS NOT PROOF.
The Archive is a curated public index of things that survived transmission. A preserved object proves that something was recorded. It does not prove the record is complete, objective, correctly attributed, or true.
THE ARRAY KEEPS WHAT SURVIVES.
Not every signal resolves cleanly. Some arrive damaged, duplicated, redacted, or without a source. The Array keeps them anyway.
Preservation is not endorsement. Songs, performances, broadcasts, and website records may carry testimony, propaganda, persona, memory, or corruption. Their existence is public. Their claims keep the authority of the source that made them.

Six public objects establish the first Archive index. Each destination is real; each label describes what the Archive can defend, not what it wishes were true.

Two records may disagree because they were made by different witnesses, authorities, or moments; because a transmission was damaged; because someone revised the official account; or because a performance was never objective testimony. The Archive may preserve both. It does not automatically decide which version became truth.
